Daniel Baseley

Administrators - Vice Principal/Grade 5

About Me

I was born in Tanzania, and also lived in the U.K. as well as Barbados before emigrating to Canada; I have also lived in the United States and Japan, where I taught English for five years.  In 2007, I relocated to Fort McMurray and spent ten great years at Westwood Community High School.

I am happy to be joining the staff of Walter & Gladys Hill in my eleventh year with the Fort McMurray Public School District.  Cultural literacy has always been a cornerstone of my educational philosophy and as a Vice Principal I intend to also apply it in my interactions with students, staff, and families.  In addition to my administrative duties, I will be teaching Japanese and Grade 5 (Social Studies, Language Arts and Health).
