WELCOME Grade 4!

I am thrilled to be part of the Grade 4 team here at Walter and Gladys Public School. Originally from Nova Scotia, in 2011, I graduated from Saint Mary's University with a Bachelor of Arts with a double concentration in English and History. Following receipt of my Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education from Acadia University in 2012; I taught at the elementary level for the past seven years.

My professional philosophy is guided by my own excitement for learning! In our classroom we focus on building strong fundamental Math and Literacy skills and 21st century competencies. We have a student centered approach to learning, and use both mindfulness and restorative approach practices in our classroom. We believe in educating the whole child and always strive to create an inclusive, safe, and joyful classroom community that empowers students, celebrates diversity and fosters a genuine love for learning, exploration and personal growth. My practice is always guided by main objective; to help students develop into successful and respectful members of society. Please share your ideas, questions and concerns with me as we make this learning journey together.
