RCMP Investigate Uttering Threats
Fort McMurray, Alberta – On October 3rd, Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a report of uttering threats of kidnapping via Instagram messaging involving students from different schools in the Fort McMurray area.
As a result, investigators were able to track down the I.P. address. Four persons were arrested at a FortMcMurray residence and are currently being interviewed.
Wood Buffalo RCMP has advised both the Catholic and Public School Districts of the investigation taking place.
Police do not believe there is any imminent threat to public safety. Social media is monitored by Wood Buffalo RCMP and take these types of incident seriously.
