Phys Ed

I was born and raised in Nova Scotia and attended St.FX University. I love to play all sports and games but my favorite of all is hockey! I have 4 young kids who keep me busy and active. I believe teaching children how to be active and lead a healthy lifestyle is one of the most important skills we can teach. This is my 10th year teaching with FMPSD. I previously taught physical education at Dr. Clark School and was the district APPLE Schools Health Mentor for a number of years. This is my 4th year at Walter and Gladys Hill School teaching physical education and coaching our PEAK Multi-Sport Athletic Academy. In PE students will learn fundamental movement skills, teamwork and an appreciation for movement through a variety of fun individual activities, team games and sports. I look forward to seeing all of our students finding the joy in being active!

Welcome to WGH PE! Let's get moving!

Division Notice

ATA Strike Commencing on Monday; School Closures Starting Oct 6th

As a result of the Alberta Teachers Association (ATA) rejecting a proposed deal from the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA), all FMPSD schools will be closed to students starting Monday, October 6, 2025, unless a new agreement is reached or strike action is otherwise averted. Additionally, all yellow school bus routes will be suspended for the duration of the strike.

In light of the ongoing strike, all extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, and after-school programs, will be temporarily suspended.

As there is no definitive end date for the strike, FMPSD is unable to provide a timeline for when normal operations will resume. We will continue to provide timely updates as we receive them from the Ministry of Education and Child Care.
